Milano, 26 febbraio 2008– EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) annuncia oggi soluzioni storage ottimizzate per ambienti VMware e le applicazioni che in essi risiedono quali Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, Oracle e SAP. Queste soluzioni estendono i benefici del consolidamento dei server all'intera infrastruttura. Gli annunci sono corredati da una completa documentazione sulle best practice per ambienti Microsoft Exchange 2007, Database Microsoft SQL 2005 e Oracle 10g e 11g, oltre che agli ambienti SAP. Questi documenti riportano tutta l'esperienza EMC in ambito di integrazione e supporto delle applicazioni dei propri partner tecnologici per incontrare le aspettative dei clienti in termini di facilità d'uso, salvataggio e ripristino, replica remota, alta affidabilità.
Le soluzioni annunciate sono le seguenti:
- le soluzioni IP Storage di EMC, ottimizzate per ambienti virtualizzati, come ad esempio EMC Celerra NS20 Multiprotocol storage system
- Soluzioni avanzate di de-duplicazione dei dati integrate con le funzionalità VCB di VMware, come ad esempio EMC Avamar
- L'integrazione con VMware Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) per la garanzia dei Quality Of Service end-to-end
- EMC Replication Manager, per gestire le repliche di ambienti VMware integrati con Exchange, SQL Server, Oracle.
- Software di Storage e Application Management, che, facendo leva sull'intefaccia applicativa di VMware Virtual Center creano un modello topologico end-to-end per il controllo e la gestione dei livelli di servizio
- L'integrazione di VMware VMotion con le funzionalità di business continuity di EMC, quali ad esempio EMC RecoverPoint
Inoltre viene annunciato il pieno supporto di VMware Site Recovery Manager con l'ampio portafoglio d'offerta di replica remota di EMC che include EMC SRDF®, EMC MirrorView®, EMC Celerra Replicator™, and EMC RecoverPoint. Questa integrazione sarà effettiva al rilascio del prodotto VMware.
